Moroccan surprise

Moroccan surprise

My little sister is SUCH a world traveler. Just call her Carmen Sandiego.
She attends NYU, and this past term, she was in living in London from Jan – May. While gallivanting around globe the past few months, she traveled all over Europe & even to Africa. When she finally came home, she brought me back the cutest gifts! A beautiful scenery plaque from Greece, a jacket from London, and THIS beauty from Morocco!
This is a hand painted pouf is from a Moroccan market that my sister went to! I’ve seen all sorts of these things on blogs that I follow & at stores that I love. It was amazing of her to bring me back such a thoughtful, beautiful gift!

The gold painted details and the beige leather totally ties into my decor & color scheme. And emerald green is one of my absolute favorite colors. I couldn’t be more thrilled when she pulled this out of her bag for me. It literally smelled like a market in the middle of Morocco, so I had to air it out a bit! But once the smell had become a little less poignant, I stuffed it full of old clothes & towels that I don’t use any more & it was ready to display in my living room! (pictures of the room to follow!)
