Empty House Soiree

Empty House Soiree

After an excruciating 3 1/2 months, I finally closed on my house in early May. And I was so excited to show it off to all of my friends!
As an event planner, I naturally wanted to throw a party. But who would want to come hang out in my empty house with no furniture?? When the seller moved out, he didn’t even clean the house! (gross.)
Trying to be resourceful, I figured I might as well have a party before I have a professional service in to clean. So I swept & wiped everything down as effectively as I could before I had friends over. It was late May when I decided to throw my soiree, so it was perfect cookout weather! That gave me the opportunity to show off the house while hanging out the beautiful backyard. Luckily, the seller left his grill, so I had that all set up.
I just needed to make a quick seating area outside so it wasn’t a bare patio. I found this AMAZING beverage tub stand at HomeGoods for under $100! It has a metal tub underneath the lid to hold drinks!

The chairs & pillows were a last minute Target purchase. Definitely a great go-to!

I wanted to provide guests with a fun environment, even though the house was empty, so I found these fab utensils, plates, napkins, tray, and straws in a mint & coral color scheme. How adorable!

A little homemade sangria & some streamers, and it was a party!!
My little get-together was such a success! I can’t wait to have another one when the house is fully furnished!
